This one didn't scan quite as well as I'd like, but I didn't have time to take a picture.

Small World of Inchies/Twinchies

The theme at SWIT is the color Blue.

I made two inchies, and though the second one has a lot of color in it the base for it is blue.

With the first one I wanted to add the wording but I didn't like anything I tried. I finally added 'flags' to the piece.

Simply Skinnies

This weeks challenge at Simply Skinnies is Hooray for Hollywood.

My tribute is to Hollywood, the movies, and Cyd Charisse.

Sunday Postcard Art

The theme at SPA is Winter Mystical.

I had a lot of fun with this piece. The background (left hand side) is made using Marvy Metallics. The darker blue paper is handmade. The image is by artist Edmund Dulac. I hand wrote the wording on vellum.

TMTA - Auto

This week's theme at TMTA is Auto.

The American Dream ATC is a picture of my dad with his caddy in the 1950's. I never did learn how he came by the car, or whatever happened to it, but understand that it was his pride and joy.

The other two are photos I took of vintage vehicles, manipulated in PhotoShop (click on image to enlarge).

Lots to Do Challenge - Newspaper

The challenge at Lots To Do is to use newspaper in the work. I made a skinny using actual newspaper. I know that it's not archivally safe, and I know the newspaper will fade eventually, but sometimes it's nice to play with materials regardless.
