During my escapades today I looked out the living room window to see a very large goose in our front field. In the ten years that we've lived here we've never had a Canada goose land on our property. Huge flocks land in the neighbors fields all the time, but they all have ponds. Not sure why this one landed here. Got misguided or lost or something. lol
He/she hung around for quite a while.
Long enough that I had to try and get some pictures. Unfortunately my telephoto lens isn't quite up to this type of job (hint, hint).
After walking all the way to the far end of the field it walked back up towards the house. I went out to try and get some more pictures and it took off. I guess it had enough of me pestering it. lol
