This photo was taken late last summer on a trip to Hood River. The sun was just starting to set (and quickly).
The barn sits high up on a hill overlooking the valley below. It's quite a large building, and still in good working condition.
I was torn between playing around in PS and leaving the photos alone. I think the first one benefits from some texturing, but the second and third I prefer exactly as they came out of the camera, allowing the barn to stand out. I left the second one alone. You be the judge.

Oh, I like all of these...what a fine barn!
What a gorgeous barn and the setting is lovely!
What a beautiful place and a gorgeous big barn!
I have a hard time deciding between texturing and leaving a photo alone, but I really like that first shot. It's a beautiful scene and the texture adds a lot of charm to it.
All beautiful captures! I like your touch with the textures. The straight out of camera shot is lovely too. I don't know why,but it is hard for me to not apply a texture to barns. Barns just seem to love texture! What a beautiful place you have captured in the top shot and I love the stall doors on the last!
they are all great but my favorite is the 3rd!
I think I was going to say just about the same thing as Carletta... that 1st view is awesome, up so high & w/ that evening glow to it! Plus, all the fencing adds to the view!
Thanks so much for joining up & have fun stock piling! =)
The first view is my favorite. It is SO darned good to see a barn kept in good repair and still being in use. There are so many just left to tumble down, become part of a passing scene in America. I truly enjoy your barn photos!
Your choice of texture in the first photo is superb. Hope the weather stays good so you can get out to take lots more photos!
Very nice photo work!
at 1st i thought there is no way that is the same barn. a double take & i see you are right. they are the same. love the 1st shot best. great view there. (:
