What a cute idea....

Taking down the Christmas decorations has never been my favorite thing to do. Not only is it a lot of work (more so it seems than putting the stuff up to begin with), but the house looks stark and bare. No more twinkly lights, no more bright and shiny ornaments. Just stark. Empty. Boring.

And this from a person who doesn't like clutter. lol But there's bare, and then there's bare.

I came across this idea at a company called Viva Terra. Cute. Simple. Could add some much needed color to the dreary winter days ahead. How cute would this be strung across a kitchen window?

I'd think that instead of spending $20 (plus postage) a person could make this pretty easily with some vintage bottles and a little wire. Hmmmm....I'll let you know.

Have fun experimenting! I haven't taken anything down yet ... usually leave everything up until Jan 6 and then start taking things down ... slowly ... I miss the lights so much! And, this year, Cassie will miss the white tree ... she's played under it for a month!

I hear you loud and clear. Once you take the decor down, the place looks bare.

Your idea is great. A mix of real and artificial plants which are very realistic today serve a good replacement. New and inexpensive wall hangings also add to a new and refreshing look.

Happy 20-12!
